Description

Carbon fibre custom performance cruiser from the board of German Frers. Luxuriously appointed and beautifully conceived for fast, reliable cruising and occasionally racing duties. A very special yacht.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

ASIA 2 is a custom-designed and built composite performance sloop designed by German Frers (design no.1138) originally constructed for a highly experienced owner by Logos Composites in Italy. The project brief was to use the very best in technological innovation along with attention to speed and style unseen in most other yachts of her type, and the need to be 100% reliable for extended summer cruising in the Med. Epoxy-carbon sandwich construction was used for her hull and structures, including her interiors, in the quest for strength and light weight.

ASIA 2 is well-suited to both family cruising as well as racing duties. Her performance in light and medium airs is outstanding, yet she is still safe and controllable in heavier airs. In terms of practicality, ASIA 2 offers a spacious award-winning interior layout with forward owner cabin complete with heads and shower, and further guest twin cabins (with the portside one that can be converted in a sail/ropes locker) aft with en-suite between them.

Now offered for sale and ready to take the sea as her owner already jumped on brand new boat, ASIA’s highlights are many and include:-
• Carbon fibre mast
• Carbon fibre racing boom
• Carbon fibre park avenue cruising boom
• Teak laid deck
• Three cabins two heads layout
• JP3 Foam filler rudder with JP3 bearings
• Carbon fibre foldable anchor bowsprit
• Large sails wardrobe
• Three bladed folding propeller
• New service batteries
• Sprayhood
• Hull recently painted
• Led navigation lights

OWNER’S COMMENTS:

German Frers drew the lines of this magnificent sloop. Winner of the “Millennium Yacht Design Award” for the interior design, ASIA 2 is a real “full carbon” cruiser.

This creation obeys to the very clear design brief: a cruising yacht, fast like a pure racer and comfortable for four to six persons, suitable for long Mediterranean cruises, with short or not stops in marinas and a low level of maintenance. A boat able to sail fast also in the lightest of the breezes, when others have to motor.
