FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
PATEA in Maori (New Zealand’s indigenous language) means free spirit. From the board of famous New Zealand designer Alan Warwick and with her 2012 build by Alia Yachts in Turkey, PATEA is the ultimately ‘go anywhere’ luxury performance cruising yacht.
With her state-of-the-art rig and sail handling technology, this exquisite sloop from Warwick Yacht Design delivers sheer exhilaration on the water and pure indulgence down below.
Designed to provide safe, comfortable and well protected cockpit spaces for cruising in all climates and conditions thanks to her extended coachroof and 360 degree vision from within her large pilot saloon (complete with helm station), PATEA can be easily handled by a small crew, making her perfect for the family looking to embark on a circumnavigation adventure, or alternatively, luxury charter duties. With her carbon-composite hull and powerful Southern Spars carbon fibre rig, complete with push-button in-boom furling and Carbon-Vectran membrane sail wardrobe from Evolution Sails, PATEA would also be a competitive entrant in the Superyacht racing circuit.
Since she was purchased by her current owner in 2019, PATEA has been extensively modernised and refitted including a full rig service in November 2021 :-
Her specification highlights include :-
• Raised pilot house saloon with 360 degree views and ceiling skylights
• Extended coach-top roof to provide protected guest cockpit/entertainment area
• Crew area separated from the guest sleeping and entertaining area

Ceiling skylights allow abundant natural light accentuating the spaciousness, but sunlight can be controlled with electric sunscreens. PATEA’s Main Saloon provides a space that can be converted from an informal lounge by day to a spectacular entertaining area at night. Coffee tables to starboard raise and slide together to form a large free-standing dining table where guests may enjoy a fine dining experience in comfort. A fully equipped bar to port can offer pre-dinner drinks and canapes or be converted into an inboard steering station in inclement weather by simply folding up the countertop to reveal its large array of navigational equipment.

This feature allows natural light to filter down to the galley. At the rear of the Main Saloon, a staircase leads guests down to a spacious passageway to the beautifully appointed staterooms. The truly luxurious Master Stateroom features a king size bed and leather couch along with an office area and ensuite. A spacious Aft Port Double guest stateroom and ensuite provides a haven of comfort and style for Patea’s guests.
