Comprehensively refitted and updated 3-cabin, 2-heads Wauquiez Centurion 49 from 1990. An ideal blue water cruising yacht and built to an extremely high standard of construction and finish.


LA DABE is Hull No.49 of the Ed Dubois-designed Wauqieuz Centurion 47/49 range which saw 48 Wauquiez Centurion 47’s between between 1984 and 1990 and 33 Centurion 49’s built between 1990 and 1994. Purchased by her current owner in February 2012, LA DABE has been comprehensively refitted and updated with almost every area of the boat overhauled and improved. Her 2014/15 refit highlights include:-

RCD Status:
• Our understanding is that the vessel is exempt from the European Union’s Recreation Craft Directive as she was first placed into use within the EEU prior to June 1998.

Hull Construction:
• Hull entirely laid up by hand, moulded of fibreglass fabrics and polyester resins.
• Integral structure of frames and stringers.
• Multiple internal treatments against osmosis.
• Hull topsides repainted - 2015

Deck & Superstructure Construction:
• Deck made of balsa core and fibreglass/resin sandwich.
• Deck bonded to the hull by flue, bolting and over-moulding.

• Through the main bulkhead to the master stateroom which has a seating/reading area to port with bookshelf above.
• Forward is a private head and shower area with sink and access to forward storage room. T
