Grabau International are delighted to announce the successful sale of the 1972 Nautor Swan 40 ‘CAN-CAN IV’.
Originally built for a Finnish Swan aficionado in 1972, being the fourth boat to carry that name for him (Can-Can IV is the original name), she cruised and raced throughout Europe by him (1973 Finnish team Admirals cup etc.) and was sold to the second owner in 1985, a British aristocrat who re-flagged her. She was then kept in this family for many years being shipped around the world to cruise and to take part in some famous races such as the Trinidad to Tobago and the Sydney to Hobart race.
Subsequently sold in 2007 after she had been laid up ashore for many years on the aristocrat’s family estate many miles from the sea, she was extensively refitted before being sold by Grabau International to her most recent owners who were seeking a larger replacement for their much loved Contessa 32. Having then sailed back to up the West Coast of Scotland, where she was placed on the market and now sold by Grabau Internartional working in conjunction with partner brokers Ardfern Yacht Centre.
We wish her extremely proud new owners fair winds and following seas.
