MANUFACTURER’S HISTORY:
Known for its quality boats, Tristan Boats has its roots in the 1950s. The boat manufacturer, which started as a small family business, built its reputation during a time when high-quality craftsmanship was a prerequisite for a good boat. In the 1960s, plywood lamination was introduced as a new manufacturing method. The starting points for the design were boating comfort as well as new types of space solutions. The range of models expanded, and more was invested in product development.
In the 1970s and 1980s, production grew strongly. To better meet the challenges of the times, Tristan developed the legendary submersible boat models 270, 300 and 301, semi-sliding 770, 870, 871, 1070 and sliding 820. Operations continued to expand in the 1990s with the launch of Tristan’s flagships 315 and 345 Sedan / Flybridge. These models show the result of years of product development and the quality of Finnish work.
In the 21st century, more and more emphasis is being placed on individuality in the design and construction of boats. Today’s boater can also demand personality from his boat. Tristan Boats meets the challenge by tailoring each boat to the customer’s wishes.
The Tristan boat is always handcrafted at the factory in Varkaus, Northern Savonia in Finland.
