Grabau International is delighted to announce its successful sale of the 2007 Beneteau First 50 ‘GEISHA’.
Originally specified to a very high level including the deep lead keel and black painted ‘Regatta’ rig, GEISHA has been lightly used never raced. Both the first and second owner used for performance summer cruising in the Med.
GEISHA is equipped with a recent North Sails wardrobe, she is also an excellent cruising yacht (Beneteau designed her specifically to be well suited to fast cruising). The yacht comes complete with a furling Code 0 and a cruising spinnaker with snuffer and a spinnaker pole.
Her highlights include: • Performance version 2.8m keel • Performance version black painted aluminium mast • Inverter • Recent North Sails wardrobe • Max Power retractable compact bowthruster • Folding three blades propeller • Sail drive gear box • Teak deck
With just two ownership since new and never chartered, GEISHA is now offered for sale as her owner already went larger.
OWNER’S COMMENTS
Geisha is a great boat to sail and to live. She is fast with all wind conditions , easy to steer and well balanced. It is common to sail at 7-9 knots with light conditions. As it gets to 6-8 knots of real winds she is quickly taking good speed. The inside is very bright and clear, well structured and facilitating onboard living
YACHTING PRESS REMARKS:
There’s a whole lot more here than headroom and easily handled sailsThe hull form is sleek and sophisticated, the eyebrows above the ports denote competence and self-worth, and some of the accessories belowdeck are fine leather. The Beneteau First 50 starts with style, but it carries through with performance.
An owner looking for a fast cruiser, an occasional racer, and/or a seasonal bluewater boat will be attracted to this yacht. It’s a perfect platform for a family who wants to cruise along the coast and explore New England or the Mid-Atlantic, and it’s perfectly capable of charging around a racecourse where, competently crewed, it can stay in step with the division leaders.
