2007-launched Antema Prestige 170 – NOW SOLD

Grabau International is delighted to announce the sale of the 2007-launched Antema Prestige 170 ‘LISETTA II’.

From the partnership between the Italian Antema Yachting and the Dutch shipyard Pacific ShipYard comes a line of important displacement pleasure boats called Prestige. These are mot»ryachts, unique in their genre, characterized by the skillful combination of clean and elegant lines and refined design, in perfect harmony with the demands of the Mediterranean market, and the Dutch tradition, namely steel construction, the art of naval cabinetmaking and technological research. The first boat of the Prestige line is the 200, a twenty-metre yacht that, presented two years ago, has already obtained wide acclaim. The subject of our test is the latest born: the Prestige 170…

In the wake of the success of the Prestige 200, this new 17-metre yacht, designed to meet the needs of those owners who while liking a boat of generous size offering the maximum comfort, both at the level of habitability and navigation, also wish to spend their free time in total privacy, therefore without crew (although crew cabins are optional)… The profile of the Prestige 170 shows slender and elegant lines that together with the interior design show off a typically Italian imprint, while the design of the water lines is all the result of the great Dutch experience in the design of boats with displacement hull, suitable to face the severe and busy conditions of the North Seas.

Its design is characterized by an important bow profile that goes to form a sort of central keel that follows aft towards the stern sections with the typical round-given design. The aft sections are also distinguished by the presence of two side keels which, in addition to having the function of protecting axis lines, propellers and rudders, allow the boat both to beach and to maintain excellent course stability.

… The Prestige 170 is built entirely (hull, deck, skeleton and superstructure) in steel, with the same type used in the construction of merchant ships. Hull and reinforcements have thicknesses of 8 mm, the living work of 6mm while the dead work and the superstructure of 4mm. For reasons of practicality (lightness), aluminum alloy was utilised for the large aft bathing platform equipped with an electro-hydraulic descent system for hauling of the tender, and for the electric lateral door with watertight closure that leads from the wheelhouse to the walkways. Big emphasis has been placed on the thermoacoustic insulation of the entire boat, managing to cancel any vibration to reduce the noise of the propulsion system to a minimum. We point out the vibration-free Python Drive transmission system, the insulation of the machinery spaces rooms with perforated aluminum panels, Flamex insulation, steel plates, rock wool, marine multilayer panels and sound-absorbing rubber. In addition, the interiors are isolated from the hull through a thickness of 5cm of closed-cell expanded foam injected between the two, and all the windows are made with double glazing. Also noteworthy is the care of the fairing of the hull topsides (about 1000 hours of work) which guarantees the perfect homogeneity and tightness of the hull color. The interiors are characterized by a wide use of fine wooden essences such as satin mahogany hand-washed with great skill, and solid wood finishes. The obsessive attention to detail such as the continuity of the wood grain and the 18 mm thickness of the teak on the deck do not go unnoticed. It says a lot that on average, about 5000 hours of work are needed for the construction of this 17-metre motor yacht…

… Characterized by a displacement hull, and therefore without speed ambitions, the Prestige 170 is able to maintain a cruising speed around 10 knots at 2400rpm, with particularly low fuel consumption. During the test we were able to appreciate the strong marine qualities of the vessel, which moreover obtained the CE homologation in class A. The response to the commands and the course holding were very precise and the turning radius contained without any rudder deformation. Very soft also the motion on the wave. Also appreciable is the precise and immediate work of the stabilizers which, in facing the waves across, cancel the roll. Navigation was comfortable in every situation and categorised by great silence…
