Posted

Grabau International is delighted to announce the sale of the 2008 Camper & Nicholsons Endeavour 42.

C&N’s Raymond Hunt deep V hull for the most stylish commuter yacht from the Italian-owned British yard, she is a piece of design and yachting quality easy to handle for a cosy “dolcevita” summer.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

The ENDEAVOUR 42 is synonymous with style and yachting. Endeavour was also one of the Camper & Nicholsons yachts, the first built for one of Britain’s most celebrated yachtsmen, Sir Thomas Sopwith, who’s
aircraft company was largely responsible for building Britain’s First World War air force.

Lightly used since her launch in 2008 with just 400hrs run, the Endeavour 42 is an easy to handle example of this amazingly British designed and built sports cruiser. Her specification highlights are many and include:
• Twin Volvo D6 engines common-rail diesel with turbo, and supercharger for incredible, low rpm response.
• C&N’s Hunt hull is a constant-deadrise, 25-degree, deep-V inboard
• 6 kw generator
• Air-conditioning with reverse cycle
• Raymarine instruments with plotter and autopilot
• Hydraulic retractable bathing platform
• Hydraulic retractable passarelle
• Cockpit fridge

MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:

“I have always been fascinated by the history of Camper & Nicholsons.
When looking at the J Class yachts such as Endeavour, Velsheda and Shamrock, I was entranced by the elegance and style of these masterpieces so much so that I was immediately inspired to apply these values to power boats.
As a passionate sailor, these yachts have been a constant inspiration as we developed the commuter line for C&N which is a sign of commitment to the unique history of this extraordinary company”.

Leonardo Ferragamo, President of Nautor Holding

“C. Raymond Hunt Associates remains one of the most widely recognized and respected names in naval architecture, in particular for designs utilizing the high-deadrise hull form known as the Hunt deep-V. This hull form, innovated by our founder, Ray Hunt, is the most widely used and ocean-proven solution afloat for performance, seakindliness and comfort. As the firm which originated the deep-V, we have more years of experience in the refinement of this hull form to suit applications as diverse as outboard-powered fishing boats, high-speed cruisers and motor yachts, police, patrol and pilot boats, military as well as commercial vessels. In the Endeavour 42’, Camper & Nicholsons’ first production yacht of the twenty-first century, the company has achieved the perfect marriage between traditional craftsmanship and high-end technology to deliver a motorboat that meets the highest standards of excellence in every respect. Camper & Nicholsons wanted a 42-foot luxury, high-performance launch and asked Hunt Associates to supply the basic design, as well as work with the yard and the Italian design team to create a lightweight, high-performance boat with a traditional interior. The result was a modern classic with Italian flair that won the European Powerboat of the Year award. The Endeavour 42’ features the Hunt deep-V planing hull design, built using a resin infusion laminating system, to ensure top performance, outstanding sea-keeping qualities, and moderate fuel consumption”.

PRESS REVIEW:

“The Endeavour takes its name from one of this illustrious boatyard’s most famous yachts, a 130-foot J-Class racing sailboat from the 1930’s, which underlines the new management’s understanding that the trump card in C&N’s deck is its heritage. The recent boom in retro-revival craft led by companies like Hinckley and Riva showed the way, and for this new venture, the Italian-owned British yard went to a design house for whom such retro looks are second nature: C. Raymond Hunt & Associates.”
