Not content with visiting most of the major European shows this year, Grabau International headed to the US to attend the United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis.
The 2017 show represented a major outing for Hylas Yachts who have recently opened their own factory-owned sales office for the US market in Miami Beach. To celebrate this, the Hylas Yachts show team was boosted by the presence of the company President and CEO from Taiwan, the entire sales and support team from Miami and the team from the UK. On display was the Hylas 56 and the Hylas 70 with drawings and renderings of the new Hylas 57 and Hylas 60 ready for inspection. We think it is fair to say that the Hylas stand was one of the busiest throughout the show period which clearly reflects the popularity of the brand in the US market.
Wandering around the show, we also took the opportunity to check out some of the other cool new offerings on display.
Allures
The Garcia Group were in attendance with their latest Allures 45.9. These very clever aluminium-hulled, composite superstructure, centreboard cruising yachts have a real cult following amongst the blue water fraternity. Grabau International are able to offer a stunning high spec 2016 example of their range-topping Allures 52.
Amel 55
No boat show would be complete without a presence from some of the nicest and hardest working people in the business. Amel were displaying their iconic Amel 55 at the show with a great owner’s cabin layout. Grabau International are delighted to offer two examples of the Amel 55, one with the owner’s cabin layout and the other with the alternative 3-cabin arrangement.
Delphia Yachts
Delphia Yachts were well represented at Annapolis with a very high spec Delphia 47 on display in the water. Grabau International are also able to offer for sale a 2010 example of this very smart performance aft cockpit cruising yacht.
Folmer 60
Away from the hustle and bustle of the main show, the brokerage cove offered the usual eclectic mix of well-presented brokerage options. Standing out amongst all the yachts was a recently-launched 60ft Folmer-built aluminium pilothouse. For those looking for similar but without the US$1.9m price tag, Grabau International are able to offer the 2006-launched Folmer-built Perry 60 ‘MARLIN’ for a far more palatable Euro 1.25m VAT paid.
Hallberg Rassy
Hallberg Rassy were at the Annapolis Show with the H/R 372 and the H/R 412. Grabau International are delighted to offer a beautifully presented and lightly used H/R 372 here in Europe as well as a 2006 Hallberg Rassy 48. Last year Grabau International were also the first independent brokerage house to broker the sale of a brokerage H/R 412.
Jeanneau, Dufour & Bavaria etc
The French & German manufacturers had a huge presence at the Annapolis show with Dufour, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Bavaria& Hanse all displaying a wide variety of yachts from their respective ranges. Grabau International are delighted to offer a number of recently and newly launched examples from these brands including a 2015 Jeanneau 57, 2017 Bavaria Cruiser 46 and a 2016/17 Dufour 460 Grand Large.
Nautor’s Swan
With two yachts on display this year, Nautor neatly covered the performance cruising market with their new Swan 54 and the racing market with their radical ClubSwan 50. The 54 is a fantastic evolution of the Swan 53, of which Grabau International sold a beautiful example last year. The ClubSwan 50 brings the brand to the cutting edge or racing design. For those looking to hunt trophies, it is well-known that some of the older S&S designed Swans are hugely competitive. Grabau International are able to offer a sparkling blue-hulled GRP-decked S&S Swan 48 for just this purpose.
