BUILDER’S COMMENTS:
BUILT FOR COMFORT, DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE
This luxurious yacht embraces the latest developments in design and functionality that will be guaranteed to turn heads around the globe. Loaded with conveniences that make handling the yacht effortless even when short handed. With the Germán Frers eye for performance the Hylas H60 will make short-work of even the longest passages. Don’t let your sailing dreams be restricted by anything other than your own imagination.
DESIGN
The Hylas H60 brings a new level of innovative design and construction to a well established brand. We are excited to continue our long partnership with world class designer Germán Frers, once again testing the boundaries of performance, functionality and quality for bluewater cruising yachts. We are also ensuring our reputation for great value stays intact. This new project being developed at the home of Hylas – Queen Long Marine, Taiwan—brings Hylas to a level of performance and head turning good looks that will certainly capture the attention of our competition.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Primarily designed to be light work when short handed, this uncomplicated sail plan can be handled without difficulty. A great fit for a couple looking for the modern cruising lifestyle. This exciting new development stays true to the Hylas core competence of safely crossing oceans in comfort and style. From the integrated bow platform with a receiving case for a self launching anchor to the automated telescoping passerelle at the transom this vessel brings a new level of simple elegance to cruising.
HULL DESIGN
The Hylas H60 is bound to impress discerning yachts men and women. The flowing lines of the hydrodynamic hull design offer comfort and speed during cross ocean passages. The bulbed fin keel ensures leeway (Side slip) is reduced and stiffens the yacht allowing her to carry the sail area the tall rig allows (Air draft 90’). The spade twin rudders minimize upwind sailing angles and provide the best traction when heeled. The wrap-around window, over-sized port lights and a full 17’3″ beam that carries well aft creates a Superyacht sense of space and comfort.
INTERIOR SPACES & LAYOUTS
Working closely with the Italian interior design team Hot Lab this yacht oozes style from stem to stern. Three or four cabin layouts are available. The Hylas touch comes to the for with wood type, grain direction, cabinetry design and facings options. Numerous color and texture choices for seats, surfaces and liners are available. Every Hylas interior is slightly different with unique features. Many of our standard offerings have come from improvements driven by client usage and change requests. We listen closely to what our clients want, give guidance from the experience of others and believe strongly that adaptability and continuous improvement should be pursued and not simply accepted.
YACHTING PRESS REVIERWS:
After a brief hiatus, Hylas Yachts International is back up to speed again, as is evident in the all-new Hylas 60. Designed by German Frers, the boat is intended to serve as a fast bluewater cruiser that it is still well within the limits of a shorthanded crew. To this end the boat is equipped with a fin keel and bulb, an impressive 90ft air draft (no ICW transits for this big girl!), twin spade rudders and a svelte-looking fixed sprit. At the same time, the Hylas 60 remains very much a cruising boat, with a fairly deep forefoot and sufficient displacement to not only promote a seakindly motion in a seaway but provide that much more storage and accommodation space belowdecks.
