Baltic Yachts Refits at Vismara Marine

In addition to the construction of the most stunning high-performance cruising yachts, Vismara’s Viareggio Shipyard is also home to one of the foremost refit facilities in the Western Mediterranean. Whilst yachts of all types, sizes and ages are easily accommodated by the skilled artisans that make up Vismara’s dedicated workforce, the shipyard has become world-renowned for refitting Baltic Yachts. Of course, this is no coincidence as Vismara Marine is also home to Baltic Yachts Italia, but sheer volume of Baltic-related refit work is a clear testament to the quality of workmanship coming out of this historic Tuscan shipyard.

As we rapidly approach the start of the 2019 sailing season, the Vismara Marine shipyard in Viareggio has been a hive of activity as alongside the impressive new Vismara build projects, an entire fleet of existing yachts pass in and out of the shipyard’s impressive refit division. The 2018/19 winter refit period has been particularly busy for Vismara with a number of Baltic Yachts joining the fleet.

Sold by Grabau International during 2018, the Baltic 56 ‘WHISPER’ saw a winter refresh including full servicing of her systems, composite rigging and overhaul of her teak deck. Now relaunched, she will be cruising towards the Eastern Med’ this season.

Originally launched as ‘STIG’, the Baltic 65 Custom ‘CASTIGO’ was extensively modified by Vismara Marine to create a high-tech, ultra-high-performance family cruising yacht. Returning back to the Vismara Marine shipyard over winter 2018/19, CASTIGO underwent further refit and modifications works to keep this stunning yacht at the very top of her game.
