Introducing the new Vismara Marine Ocean Maxy 70

The new Vismara Marine Ocean Maxy 70 is the result of a collaboration between Vismara Marine’s Alessandro Vismara and the leading naval architect Maurizio Cossutti.

The project is focussed towards creating a simple and seaworthy yacht, easy to manoeuvre by a crew of just two. Exceptionally high stability is promised thanks to cleverly designed hull lines and weight distribution. With the benefit of over 35yrs history in this sector, Vismara Marine presents a yacht that is modern and elegant, but not extreme in design or technology. The Ocean Maxy 70 is a yacht that continues to have value over time and is a true sailing yacht for those who enjoy the purity of sailing.

The Vismara Marine Ocean Maxy 70 benefits from a hull built entirely of carbon and composite glass, designed to ensure low weight, low vibration and a soft entry into the waves. This is a particularly important consideration for longer offshore passages as such attention reduces fatigue to both crew and yacht while also reducing passage times considerably. Her Vismara-trademark telescopic keel offers a variable draft from an anchorage-friendly 2.60m to 3.80m which should ensure the finest possible performance under sail. Her rig is full carbon and is deck-stepped to allow optimal use of below-decks spaces. A furling boom has been specified to offer the performance and control benefits of a full-battened mainsail, with the push-button simplicity that a short-handed offshore cruiser demands. Lastly, her twin rudder configuration ensures pinpoint accuracy and control at all boat speeds.

Below decks, the new Vismara Marine Ocean Maxy 70 boasts a spacious and comfortable interior of a classic/modern style finished in teak and oak with large hull windows and light-coloured bulkheads. The layout is divided into four sleeping cabins with three large heads compartments. The owner’s stateroom occupies most of the forward sections and benefits from a private ensuite head complete with separate shower. In the forepeak is a crew cabin kept separate from the guest spaces. The large saloon is centrally located with a closed galley and the engine room is aft with a generator positioned beneath the companionway entrance. Aft of her guest cabins is a large tender garage capable of accommodating a 3.20m tender with 15hp outboard.

The project is completed by an elegant exterior colour scheme with refined teak deck and deckhouse characterised by large windows to optimise natural light in the saloon. The new Vismara Marine Ocean Maxy 70 is a yacht with timeless style for high-class sailing.
