THE OPEN INNOVATION COMPANY: VISMARA HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PLACE WHERE OWNERS CAN ENJOY A COMPANY ABLE TO SCIENTIFICALLY SUPPORT THEIR CHOICES.
Vismara is working with the best professionals to offer an engineered platform on which a fast-cruiser can be developed and built. The brand new Nacira 69 represents a collaboration between Parisian designer Axel de Beaufort for styling concept, Guillaume Verdier for sail plan design, structural design from Pure Engineering in New Zealand and Vismara Marine for construction, engineering and fitting out.
SAILING THE LIGHTNESS
The Vismara Marine mantra. To be able to handle the boat with the smallest of crews thanks to an intelligent and advanced sail plan design, a powerful hull shape designed to minimise drag, and weight distribution placing the centre of gravity as low as physcially possible. Using the IMOCA 60 designs as an inspiration, the Nacira V69 benefits from design choices made to create a boat with lower loads and easier manoeuvrability, therefore increasing safety for the entire crew and greatly aiding movements in and out of the marinas. The hull is constructed entirely in pre-preg carbon to achieve the light possible weight in addition to a sustained increase in speed. The deck and bulkheads feature nomex kevlar honeycomb cores.
DECK PLAN AND APPENDICES
The deck plan is designed to allow all control lines to easily accessible with hydraulic winches to take the effort out of handling the rig loads. The rig is also positioned unusally far back in the boat (60% back from the bow) with no less than 4 furlers for various foresail and code sail combinations.
Perhaps the most innovative feature of the new Nacira V69 is the keel which boat cants and lifts. Developed with Cariboni in Italy, this new keel design features hydraulic cylinders that move the keel box which contains the fin; therefore when the keel is in the central position. the keel can be lifted by sliding it through the box reducing draft from 4.50m to just 2.50m.
THE INTERIOR
Style and design are conceived to face the sea elements and satisfy the most demanding owners. That’s why everything has been developed in full harmony with Vismara Marine style, lightweight composite material made with nomex or fabric canvas able to meet the highest standards of quality without increasing the displacement and offering the longest durability. The interior features 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms of which two have separate showers. These are positioned forward to allow the saloon a galley to be positioned aft closest to the cockpit and at the widest point in the boat. Large window spaces join the saloon and galley areas to the outside of the cockpit. Beneath the cockpit is a tender garage and twin outboard-positioned rudders for maximum steering control at high speeds.
