Highly-specified and recently updated example of the German Frers-designed Hylas H54 raised saloon centre cockpit. Extremely rare to the market and one of just two originally supplied into the EU market with CE-approval.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
Winner of the prestigious Cruising World Magazine ‘Boat of the Year’, the German Frers designed Hylas 54 has proven herself as a hugely successful and desirable blue water cruising yacht both in the US and in Europe with 59 built.
EN-DEILIG (hull number 47) is one of just two Hylas 54’s supplied new into the European market by Hylas Yachts UK Ltd. Kept in their continued ownership and used lightly as a demonstrator, she was sold by Grabau International to her current owners in 2019 who were looking specifically for a yacht capable of becoming a safe and reliable passage-maker for their young family. Following a short period of upgrade and refit with all works carried out professionally on the UK’s South Coast, EN-DEILIG sailed to the Mediterranean before readying herself for taking part in the inaugural January ARC, where she finished first in her class and third overall out of an original entry list of 47 boats.
Fully fitted out for shorthanded bluewater cruising, EN-DEILIG’s specification highlights are many and include:- • Twaron (Carbon/Kevlar) reinforced hull and superstructure • Aft watertight bulkhead and watertight collision bulkhead forward • Recently completed preventative epoxy treatment • Overhauled teak decks • Semi-skegged rudder • Yanmar 125hp engine with low hours run and Varifold 4-bladed prop • Fuel cleaning and polishing system • Bowthruster • 24vDC electrics with AGM batteries • Fischer Panda DC Variable speed generator with 3x 24vDC chargers with 3kw inverters for providing stable 220vAC regardless of location • Victron solar panel array on custom stainless steel bimini frame • Seafari Mini 350 modular watermaker fitted 2019 • Large (1,246 litre) fuel and water (895 litre) water capacities • Upgraded B&G instrument package with Zeus plotters, 4G radar, AIS and autopilot • Icom SSB with Pactor modem • Simrad Nera 33 Inmarsat Fleet satellite coms system • Iridium Go satellite coms system • Large capacity twin fridge/freezer system with keel coolers • Electric freshwater heads • Washing machine • Cruisair reverse-cycle air-conditioning system • DC fans • LCD TV on motorised bracket and Fusion Bluetooth stereo system • Three cabin, two heads interior layout with teak interior joinery throughout • Synthetic suede (Santos) upholstery • Oceanair blinds • Selden in-mast furling rig with standing rigging replaced 2020 • Running Rigging with cruising and racing Dynema – 2021 • Electric genoa and mainsail furlers • Removable inner forestay for staysail • Antal electric primary and mainsheet winches • Carbon fibre spinnaker pole • Cruising chute with snuffer • Highfield tender and 15hp outboard – 2021 • Comprehensive safety equipment inventory including MSOS Ocean Medical Kit with Telemedical support service (MSOS equipment costing in excess of GBP10,000)
