NOW SOLD – 2009 Selene 59 Ocean Trawler

Grabau International is delighted to announce the sale of the 2009 Selene 59 Ocean Trawler  ‘CATYOPE’.

Launched in 2009 to the order of her current and only private owner, CATYOPE was supplied through the French distributor for Selene Yachts and as such comes with full CE conformity to Category A – Ocean.

As part of Selene’s legendary ‘Ocean Trawler’ series, CATYOPE is hull no.14 of the extremely popular Selene 58/59/60 line of full displacement, deep-hulled exploration trawler yachts. Powered by a single 526hp John Deere diesel engine providing a cruising speed of 9-10 knots and a maximum speed of 12.2 knots, the Selene 59 boasts a trans-Atlantic range of 3,000Nm at lower displacement speeds. An added feature with CATYOPE is her ability to take power from the generator to the prop-shaft to provide emergency backup through the primary drive line at up to 6 knots, thus saving the need for an additional wing engine.

Although ideally configured for effortless and reliable world-cruising, CATYOPE has led a very relaxed life, being used lightly by her owners for summer cruises to the Aeolian Islands and around the eastern and western Mediterranean from her berth in the North East of Sicily. CATYOPE is yet to cross any big oceans and has accrued only 1,059hrs on her engine.
