Grabau International is delighted to announce the price reduction of the 1985 Camper & Nicholsons 58 ‘TELMINA’.
Extensively refitted and recently surveyed example of the timelessly elegant David Pedrick-designed Camper & Nicholson 58. Sloop rigged and fin keel.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
TELMINA is a truly stunning example of the David Pedrick designed Camper & Nicholsons 58. Featuring a very well proven hull shape, later adopted by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston as the basis of the Clipper 60 design, her lines are both timeless and forgiving in the roughest of conditions.
Finished with pale blue topsides, varnished bulwarks, recently replaced teak decks and white painted spars, TELMINA looks every part the modern classic. Ideally suited to both serious blue water adventures and liveaboard sailing, she has been extensively refitted in her current ownership and benefits from a glowing 2019 survey. Her specification highlights include:- • Hydraulic in-mast furling • Hydraulic genoa furling • Electric primary winches • 135hp Perkins engine with 3-bladed variable pitch propeller • Bowthruster • Generator • Recently replaced batteries (2018) • Air-conditioning • Washing machine
Swedish-flagged and tax paid, TELMINA is immediately available and conveniently located in Southern Spain.
OWNER’S COMMENTS:
We are the third owners of TELMINA. Commissioned by her first English owner in 1985, TELMINA was used for family cruising in the Mediterranean, based in Palma de Mallorca. Sold to her second Italian owners in 2002, TELMINA was used as a ‘floating summer house’ during summer weekends in Lavagna. In 2014, she was lavishly refitted including fitment of a new 15-16mm teak deck, Awlgrip painted hull and superstructure and repainted rig. We became her owners in 2016.
TELMINA is our third yacht, the first being a 37ft Najad and the second a Tayana 52. We completed long distance passages with both yachts, circumnavigating with the Najad and reaching as far as Australia with the Tayana and They were both however missing the comfort of a larger yacht. When we saw TELMINA offered for sale in Italy, we immediately fell in love with her timeless David Pedrick lines, the legendary Camper & Nicholsons build quality and the condition thanks to her previous owner’s recent refit. The icing on the cake was her hydraulically controlled inmast furling mainsail and genoa, allowing effortless and safe handling without the need for an additional crew.
Our original plan was to sail TELMINA to Australia, a place we had fell in love with during our travels with the Tayana 52. Sadly, age, and the demands of family life have caught up with us and our desire to cross oceans has waned. Having sailed TELMINA from Italy to her new home in Spain, she has been used sparingly, covering just two short passages to the Balearics and back. TELMINA is the perfect boat for big adventures and is the culmination of over 30yrs of enjoyable sailing for us, but the time has now come for TELMINA to find a new custodian who will hopefully use and enjoy her as we had originally planned.
