MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:
Comfortable living all year round. Nimbus owners are proud of their boats and are happy to share their experiences and opinions with us. In the case of the owners of Nimbus Coupé Cruisers, this spontaneous co-operation has formed a driving force behind the development of these models. For who knows better than the owners what kind of boats they want? Owners of Coupé Cruisers want a comfortable boat for themselves and their families. Comfort and seaworthiness at both low and high speeds. Comfort with generous and well- planned surfaces both outside and inside, and which can be made use of for most of the year, irrespective of the weather. A boat to socialise in, both within the bounds of the family and with guests – in other words a boat in which to enjoy a pleasant social life, both at sea and in harbour. High-quality joinery, singularly well-designed fittings and unbeatable finish are values that create a genuine marine ambience. To this we add such obvious features as a well-insulated hull, diesel power, straight prop-shaft and the classic Nimbus lines, all essential properties for the owners of our Coupé Cruisers. These are the reasons why they have chosen them.
MANUFACTURER’S BACKGROUND:
Nimbus started in the 1960s when Volvo Penta was having problems finding a market for its engines. They needed a dedicated recreational boat, so the then President of Volvo Penta commissioned designer Pelle Peterson – a legend in yachting circles – to design the ‘perfect boat’ for the job.
The result was the Nimbus 26. The next year the Nimbus 26 won the Boat of the Year in Sweden, and the company has since gone on to become one of the biggest pleasure boat builders in Scandinavia.
Nimbus Boats Sweden AB manufacturer leisure boats primarily for the North European market. They build all their boats in Sweden, primarily at their boat yard in Mariestad.
