Southampton Boat Show 2018 Review

Sandwiched neatly between the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Salone Nautico show in Genoa, the 50^th TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show lived up to the tradition of offering all four seasons in one week with hot sunshine giving way to high winds, driving rain and a startling 20 degree drop in temperature across the final three days. What didn’t change however was the relentless enthusiasm of the show visitors who came in their droves regardless of what the weather gods were throwing at us.

Grabau International was in attendance through the entire show aboard the beautiful Hylas M44 Euro. Positioned snugly between the Hallberg Rassy and Contest yachts, we were just as happy to talk about our new Hylas 48, 57 and 60 sailing yachts, as the new Hylas M58 motor yacht and the awesome New Zealand designed motor yacht we were displaying.

The Southampton show is one of the largest in-water boat shows in the world with a purpose-built marina boasting hundreds of exhibitors. The show was sponsored for the second year in succession by our great friends at Southampton-based www.TheYachtMarket.com.

Coming away from the show, we have made lots of new friends, have some very strong leads and welcome any interested parties to come and trial our M44 from her home berth in Chichester Marina.
