SUPERNIKKA wins again at the Maxi Worlds

The 2015 Vismara V62 RC Mills has just added her fourth Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup win in just five seasons of racing. Taking part in the September regatta organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo, the Mini Maxi owned and helmed by Roberto Lacorte and with an all-star crew finished the regatta with a clear four points lead over the second-place SPECTRE. Winning five of the four days of racing, with a second place in the other, SUPERNIKKA completed and almost perfect score, racing under the flag of the Yacht Club Repubblica Marinara of Pisa.

“It was an exceptional week, in which we competed in five beautiful, intense and hard-fought races, reaching what was our eve goal: bringing SuperNikka once again on the top step of the podium,” says enthusiastic Roberto Lacorte. “We have succeeded, in a clear way, and it is the success of a group that works with competence and passion, a team of real people and great professionals, with whom I will soon have the pleasure of sharing a new challenge. Yes, this will probably be the last race with SuperNikka, a boat that gave us great satisfaction, and there could be no better way to close a cycle that has been winning from the first to the last edge “.

Having archived this fourth success at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, Roberto Lacorte is now looking ahead to a new challenge in the shape of a larger racing yacht with which to face the great offshore classics around the globe, starting with the Fastnet and the Rolex Sydney-Hobart, meaning that SUPERNIKKA is now very seriously for sale.
