Vismara at the races – a great weekend!

The weekend of 7th/8th May was a fantastic season-opener for a number of Vismara yachts and their owners.

In addition to the excellent results achieved by Vismara V62 Mills ‘SUPERNIKKA’ and the recently launched Vismara V56 Mills ‘TWIN’ in the 2016 TAG Heuer Velafestival (read all about it here), Vismara yachts and their owners across Europe were out on the race course demonstrating just how hugely capable these performance cruisers are around the cans.

• Vismara V47 ‘CANDELLUVA’ dominated the IRC standings to 39th Cup Queen of the Netherlands ahead of 22 boats on the starting line. Among them also the Vismara V46 ‘DUENDE’ which finished a creditable 7th place in the IRC standings.
• Vismara V50 ‘ENERGHEIA’ won the prestigious spring classic Mini-Giraglia on the route Isle of Capraia, Giraglia rock and back.
• Vismara V45 ‘MARGHERITA‘ took second place in class ORC to the thirteenth century.

2016 looks set to be a vintage year for Vismara and their owners. With the recently launched V56 Mills and two brand new V62 Mills due to hit the water later this season, the Vismara family continues to grow. All eyes will of course remain on the stunning and almost unbeatable V62 Mills ‘SUPERNIKKA’ and her passionate owner Roberto Lacorte who’s 2016 season will continue with the Regatta of Islets (Genoa-Livorno, May 27), 151 Miles Trophy-Celadrin (Livorno-Punta Ala, June 2), Giraglia Rolex Cup (St. Tropez-Genoa, June 12 to 18), Maxi Yacht Yacht Rolex Cup (Porto Cervo, 4 to 10 September), where Roberto and his yacht will defends their title in the Mini Maxi class R, and to close the season, the Rolex Middle Sea Race (Valletta, October 22).
