Vismara Marine at the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar

Vismara Marine put in a commanding performance at the hotly-contested 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar race which took place between Livorno and Marina di Pisa on 30th May.

The event which is part of the Italian Offshore Championship and is hosted in collaboration with the Yacht Club Livorno, Marina di Punta Ala, Marina di Pisa and the International Maxi Association is raced under ORC, IRC and IRC over 60ft rankings. With almost 220 boats crossing the startline, the racing was intense in fickle winds across the 151-mile course.

Top finisher amongst the Vismara Marine fleet was the awesome Vismara V62RC Mills ‘SUPERNIKKA’ helmed by Roberto Lacorte in third place (IRC over 60) covering the course in just under 24hrs, closely followed by Luigi Sala aboard his Vismara V62 Mills ‘YORU’ in fourth just over an hour later. Not far behind was the Baltic 65 Custom ‘CASTIGO’ in seventh, fresh out of the Vismara Marine shipyard following her winter refit. The innovative Vismara/Marten/Farr 65 Fast Cruiser ‘MISTER A’ powered across the line in thirteenth. In the IRC class, Grabau International’s own Michele Antonini was aboard the Vismara V50 Mistress with a creditable 18th.
