Vismara V100 – now arrived in Viareggio

Posted

Due to be launched in the Spring of 2018, and like all Vismara Yachts , the exciting new Vismara Marine V100 will be constructed using the very latest in materials technology with a carbon/glass & epoxy sandwich, allowing for an ultra-light displacement of just 50 tons coupled with a white sail area of 490sqm (by comparison a Swan 100RS displaces approx 70 tons light with approx 30sqm less white sail area than the V100).

The V100 is set to be a very rapid machine, yet she should also remain effortless to handle thanks to clever sail-handling systems including a furling boom. The fitment of twin Cummins 305hp engines will offer unprecedented close-quarters manoeuvrability along with fast, stable and efficient passages made under motor. The Vismara V100 will also be able to venture in anchorages that most 100ft yachts can only dream of thanks to her telescopic keel that reduces draft from a windward-friendly 4.6m to a more harbour-friendly 2.6m.

The V100 was recently transported from Vismara Marine’s hull-moulding facility to their Viareggio Shipyard in an effort requiring military precision and LOTS of care!
