Vismara V56 Mills Launch

On a beautifully sunny Spring Saturday afternoon, the exciting new Vismara V56 Mills ‘TWIN’ touched the water for the very first time.

TWIN is the result of an exciting new project involving Mills Design and Lucio Micheletti working with Vismara to produce one of the most striking and beautifully conceived 56ft performance cruising presently afloat.

Taking inspiration from the iconic and hugely successful Vismara Mills 62 SUPERNIKKA, TWIN has been developed for an experienced owner who was looking to a high quality blue water cruiser with tried & tested technological solutions, built using the very best composite materials and able to sail with the lightness that is so typical with all Vismara yachts.

Constructed in carbon fibre and epoxy sandwich and post-cured at 60 degrees for 24hrs, TWIN boasts an utlra-light displacment of just 14,000kgs, an impressive achievement for a fully CE Cat A (Ocean) yacht of 17.00m LOA. Her full carbon rig (with carbon standing rigging and park avenue boom) and the very latest Millennium Monolithic sails are effortlessly controlled by push-button winches allowing race-speed performance with the very smallest of crews.

TWIN will now be delivered to her new owner after seatrials and ahead of busy summer schedule of cruising.
