Vismara V62 RC Mills ‘SUPERNIKKA’ – 2019 season debut

After winning in three editions of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, the line honors of the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar in 2015 and other important regattas in the Mediterranean, the Mini Maxi RC SuperNikka armed and helmed by the Pisan entrepreneur Roberto Lacorte, Vice President CEO of PharmaNutra SPA, has returned to the water for his fifth racing season.

The first race of the season and the first podium for SuperNikka, the Mini Maxi RC armed and skippered by the entrepreneur Roberto Lacorte – flanked in the cockpit by the Portuguese tactician Diego Cayolla and the chioggiotto Enrico Zennaro – who concluded the Maxi Yacht Capri Trophy with a third place in the class Mini Maxi Regata.

After Capri SuperNikka will be involved in the 151 Miglia-Cetilar Trophy (May 30, between Livorno and Marina di Pisa) and in the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup of Porto Cervo (1-7 September), chasing the fourth success in what is considered the highlight of the Maxi season.

SuperNikka will have to deal with some of the fastest Maxis in circulation and with latest-generation racer projects fresh from launch, without a doubt the most formidable adversaries for the hull signed by the British design firm Mark Mills and built by the Italian shipyard Vismara Marine. A racer / cruiser that despite having already four intense (and winning) vintages on its shoulders – was launched in Viareggio in May 2015 – continues to shine with high-level performance, thanks to a constant and punctual technical update work and to a strong, well-established crew in which appearances such as the multi-titled Tommaso Chieffi, the Portuguese Olympian Diego Cayolla and the established Enrico Zennaro and Andrea Fornaro.

“We face this season with some technical innovations, starting with a new game of sails, as always signed by North Sails, made with even more performing fabrics. We then carried out a general optimization work, making SuperNikka faster and more competitive ”, explains Roberto Lacorte. “For the rest, stability prevails: from the confirmation of a crew that is now a family, one of the real strengths of SuperNikka, to the objectives, which are to give the maximum and when possible take home a victory. In these years he has often succeeded, but the level is always higher. However, there is always the stimulus: after five years, our boat remains the most innovative, with a potential yet to be expressed and a crew that is always ready to give its best as a true team “.
