Mid-October saw the arrival of the Vismara 69 Nacira at the gates of the Viareggio shipyard ready for final fitting out.

The brand new Nacira 69 is a collaboration between the Parisian designer Axel de Beaufort for the concept of style, Guillaume Verdier for the design of sail plans, the structural design of Pure Engineering in New Zealand and Vismara Marine for construction, engineering and the installation. To be able to manage the boat with the smallest crew thanks to an intelligent and advanced design of the sail plan, a powerful hull shape designed to minimize drag and weight distribution by positioning the center of gravity to the minimum physically possible. Using the IMOCA 60 as inspiration, Nacira V69 benefits from design choices to create a boat with lower loads and easier manoeuvrability, thus increasing safety for the entire crew and greatly aiding movements inside and outside the marinas. The hull is built entirely of carbon pre-preg to achieve the light weight possible in addition to a sustained increase in speed.
