Progress is well underway in the construction of the new Vismara Ocean Maxy 70 with the joining of her hull and deck ahead of final fit-out and launch later in 2019.
With her hull laminated and CNC milling of her deck underway, the new Vismara Ocean Maxy 70 is a yacht that continues to have value over time and is a true sailing yacht for those who love the purity of sailing. The Vismara Ocean Maxy 70 benefits from a hull built entirely of carbon and composite glass, designed to guarantee low weight, low vibration and soft entry into the waves. This consideration is particularly important for longer offshore passages as this attention reduces fatigue for both the crew and the yacht, while significantly reducing transit times. The Vismara brand telescopic keel offers a variable draft of 2.60 m to 3.80 m, which should guarantee optimum sailing performance. Its equipment is completely made of carbon and is equipped with a platform to allow optimal use of the spaces below. A roller boom has been specified to offer the benefits of performance and control of a full-battened mainsail, with the pulsating simplicity that requires a short-range offshore cruiser. Finally, its double rudder configuration guarantees precision and millimetre control at all boat speeds.
Below deck, the new Ocean Maxy 70 boasts a spacious and comfortable interior in classic/modern style finished in teak and oak with large hull windows and clear bulkheads. The layout is divided into four cabins with three large head compartments. In the bow locker there is a crew cabin kept separate from the guest areas. The large living room is centrally located with a closed kitchen and the engine room is aft with a generator positioned under the entrance of the companionway. Behind its guest cabins there is a large garage that can accommodate a 3.20 m tender with a 15-horsepower outboard.
