Vismara V71 ‘RED CARPET’ launch

On a sunny April morning in Viareggio, the striking red-hull of the Vismara V71 ‘RED CARPET’ emerged from the Vismara Shipyard in front of a crowd gathered to celebrate her launch. Unlike the Vismara V50 Mills ‘BIG STAR’, V56 Mills ‘TWIN’ and Vismara V62 Mills ‘WIZARD’ and ‘YORU’ launched by Vismara during the 2016 season, RED CARPET was not a new build. She is, in fact, a shining example of the other side of the Vismara Marine business – yacht refit. RED CARPET was originally launched as the Vismara V62 ‘NATALI’. Sold to her current owners in 2016, she arrived back at the Vismara Shipyard in the winter to begin her stunning transformation into the yacht we see today.

Well-proven as a competitive race winner, NATALI was purchased with a view to creating a fast, high-tech, luxury cruising yacht capable of accommodating guests for a long summer cruise without sacrificing any comfort. Lengthening her carbon composite hull to create a 71ft yacht with a displacement of just 15,500kgs, RED CARPET now has a tender garage capable of accommodating a 2.70m tender, and a large sunbathing area aft of the helm cockpit. Below decks, RED CARPET features a three stateroom layout, each with their own dedicated bathroom, and a large central saloon area with raised sole to allow fantastic outward vision. Crew accommodation is forward with access either from the deck or through the forward section of the yacht. Featuring a trademark Vismara hydraulic telescopic keel, RED CARPET will also be able to enjoy sheltered anchorages that most yachts of her size could only dream of accessing.
